Day Twelve: Beginning Sound Sort

We have made it to day twelve of the holiday giveaway!! I hope you have downloaded some valuable resources. I know I have had a lot of fun creating them especially for you.

This one focuses on beginning sounds. The tree features letters; H, L, S, B, P, M, D, T and C. The second page includes 45 pictures. All of the pictures have a winter or holiday theme. They also all begin with the letters featured on the tree. There is also a word list included if you would happen to need it.

Depending on the child’s skill level, select the amount of picture cards to use. As the child advances then increase the challenge by offering more pictures to sort. This can be a guided activity or independent practice depending on the skill level as well.
