Ice Brain Rescue

We broke out the brain mold again! This time we turned it into a Halloween themed ice rescue. Last time, we used the brain mold for a Jello brain as part of our Human Body Themed Unit. Check that post out here.

This was so easy to put together and provided a lot of entertainment. We added our minibeasts, water and food coloring to the brain mold. Then we mixed it together and set it in the freezer. Once frozen, we popped it in a tray with tools and warm water. For the tools, we added our cup and pitcher from a Lovevery kit, medicine droppers, tweezers, and magnifying glasses. We are still experiencing warm weather so I set the tray out on the front porch.

The girls played with this until all of the minibeasts were rescued. It was fun to watch them explore with the tools and try different ways to free the creepy crawlies.
